I couldnt find anything about golf anywhere so will put it here.
I read in the local paper this a.m. that an older golf player said that he knew of players that used steroids. Tiger Woods denies that he knows of anyone doing it. So now its a problem in golf too? What's next? Horseshoes????

what possible reason could people have for taking steroids in golf? i mean come on now, i meantioned this yesterday when we were talking about the UFC and someone taking steroids there and i said that as long as there are competition for people to compete in and win in, there will always be those striving to be better 'illegally.' this goes on in sports fro UFC to Football to Basketball and now to golf and unfortunatly there is nothing we can do about it

Unless someone uses steroids in bulk to physically add muscle, a majority of the time athletes will use steroids to rehab an injury quickly.

In golf, are there even injuries?

Oh, sure. Backs would have to get tweaked all the time. Probably knees and hips as well.

The only thing that comes to mind is more strength could add distance to their drives. But I think muscle mass would impede putting.

you have to think though, steroids blow you up in size, most golfers are rather small and skinny, well not john daly, but he doesnt use steroids, he uses beer and pizza..

Yeah ... that's what my problem is ... too much muscle mass. No wonder I three putt all the time.
