If you don't see a specific forum for your favorite team or sport, here's how to request that we add it.

Since we're a new community and trying to grow in a logical manner, we've created some guidelines for when we will add a new forum. In most situations, we will not start a forum until 2 things happen:

There are at least 5 recent threads about the team/sport in the appropriate general forum.
There are at least 3 active members that show real interest in the new forum.


The main idea is that we will not start a forum until it's obvious that there is real interest in it being an active forum. The way we'll gauge interest in by seeing real posts and threads about the team/sport. Simply asking for or complaining about the lack of a forum doesn't count as real interest.

Example: How to Request a Forum

Let's say you wanted a forum about Unicycling. Here's how to get it...

1. Read the Where's a Forum for My Team? thread first.
2. Start a thread or 2 about Unicycling in the appropriate general forum. For Unicycling, the right place would be in the Other Sports forum. If noone replies, you can stop now. We won't add a Unicycling forum but you're welcome to keep posting about it by yourself in the Other Sports forum.
3. If you get some replies that show others are interested, chat in those threads with them about the topics you started. Add Unicycling in your user profile as your favorite sport.
4. Get some other members to start more Unicycling threads. If you're the only one who seems to start unicycling threads, we won't add the forum.
5. Get at least 5 threads that are active about Unicycling. By active, I mean that it's more than just you making a post. If the only replies are little "Nice post" or "You're crazy" type comments, it's not really an active thread. The threads need to be recent so if 2 of the 5 threads are from several months ago, those probably won't count.
6. Once I can see 5 active threads that demonstrate at least 3 active members are interesting in unicycling, post here that you think there's enough interest to start a Unicycling forum. If you're willing to be a moderator for that forum, tell me that part in a PM since it might make the decision to add the forum easier.

If you're an active member of the GoTeamsGo community, we'll be more likely to add the forum that you request. If you're a new member, we're glad you're here but understand that we're only adding forums when we're convinced that they will grow into active forums. It's nothing against your favorite team because we want to expand to have active forums for every pro team and every major college team. Help us grow by chatting about the teams and sports that interest you.

And please, no unicycling threads

MMA forum.
It will gradulay (SP) pick up. Alot of people searching will not bother regestering and posting a thread if there is not a place already for it. Much less no threads already going on the subject.

It is one of the most growing sports and it does have alot of real intreast in it, just not alot of places to talk about it.

i agree with epic, i try to talk about ufc in the other subject as much as possible. I didnt get into it till Ultimate Fighter came around and now i watch MMA events as much as possible and wouldnt mind have a place to discuss people ive seen fight or whose fighitng around the world. You guys could make it a fighting section so peple can talk about boxing along with MMA and maybe NCAA wrestling too just so theres more to talk about to keep the threads alive. Just some ideas to throw out there

Hi guys, I appreciate the input. While we're 1st and foremost going to focus on team sports (hence the name GoTeamsGo), I'll look at adding other dedicated forums based on what people are talking about & how they seem to fit with the master plan.

But the good news is that there's a place you can talk about MMA right now. That's the Other Sports forum. It's for any sport that doesn't fit in an existing dedicated forum.

Like I said at the top of this page, before you actually request a forum, you should go start some threads about MMA & such over in the Other Sports forum. I promise I'll keep an eye out for your threads because I really don't know anything about ultimate fighting.

I'm with you on this one merv, love UFC and Pride fights.
Lets work on making use of the Other Sports thread and see if we can get something going.

Actually, our website is for only sports-related conversations only.

However, your idea is very interesting. I have some experience with creating UserBars.

Paintball... you can chat about that now in the Other Sports forum (cool, see you've already found it)
