Oilers or Hurricanes: Who Will Win Game 7?

Oilers dominated at home tonight and pounded Carolina for 4 unanswered goals!

I had been wondering about the traveling back and forth between Carolina and Edmonton but glad they did. Would the Oilers have won if game 6 was in Raleigh? I don't think so. Rexall Place was claerly rocking and I really believe the home crowd made a difference.

I'm in Tennessee but I'm pulling for the Oilers to win the upset.

Carolina looked pitiful tonight. Oilers had the crowd...and then they outshot and out hustled the Hurricanes...it wasn't even close. I was impressed by Pronger...he was all over the ice. Playing half the game, and blocking shots...I just don't see Carolina bouncing back from this.

Re: Oilers or Hurricanes: Who Will Win Game 7?

I can't remember the last time I saw a Carolina breakaway. The Oiler's completely smothered the 'Canes tonite. The 'Canes are kind of like a shark, if it can't move it can't breathe. The Oilers not only did a great job of physically stifling the 'Canes offense but they got through Ward. Markkanen is playing very well to, he is extremely focused. I am not worried though. This is exactly what the 'Canes need to bounce back from this. They need to be woken up to be shocked and to be hungry again. GAME 7 here we come.

After watching the hurtin' the Oilers put on the Canes last night, there's no way I can pick against them. Carolina doesn't seem to have a clue out there right now, and the Edmonton guys just kept turning up the offensive pressure more and more. Momentum is in their favor, and I just don't see any feasible way the Oilers can lose this one now.

Yeah...but you can't rule out the effects of that crowd they had behind them. Those guys were backing their team for all they were worth...I would try busing a few thousand down to Carolina.

Hey, whatever it takes! Rent a dozen buses and bring 'em all down! When you're close enough to the Stanley Cup that you can taste it, you've got to look for an edge whereever you can

Re: Oilers or Hurricanes: Who Will Win Game 7?

yeah the fans were great but there's no way that tally of shots that left carolina in the dust was just the result of crowd favour. Edmonton turned it on finally, got scared, showe dup, played the way they can. Sometimes it takes a hell of alot of pressure.
I know the Hurricanes are going to be playing mad tonight, but Edmonton's felt the magic.
Will Cole do something magnificent or is he still hurting?
