Re: NHL Stanley Cup injury report um, HUGE. But not deadly. It shall inspire, just as injury sustained and elevated the sabres, i am sure (until they could take no more). It's about time carolina had some hurting. they've sailed through this relatively injury free after they lost Cole pre post season. Funny, too, Weight was really getting in his groove - Edmonton fans are most likely delirious over this news. they HATE him.

Re: NHL Stanley Cup injury report Doug Weight is officially OUT for Game 6. The AP is calling it "an apparent right shoulder injury" suffered early in the third period on Wednesday. Coach Peter Laviolette made the announcement during his press conference today. How in the world do they try and replace Weight?

Re: NHL Stanley Cup injury report Another injury update from the AP: "Dwayne Roloson, the Oilers' only goalie in their first 18 playoff games, skated in practice with his teammates on Friday. But because of the right knee sprain sustained in the Stanley Cup finals opener, he was reduced to shooting pucks instead of dropping down to stop them." When asked if he could play in Game 6 or 7, he smiled and answered, "I don't think so." Well, what do YOU think?

Re: NHL Stanley Cup injury report I think that even if Roloson was healthy enough to play that the Oilers should stick with Markkanen. Markkanen is not only playing well as a goalie, he is been a great inspiration to the team. Remember this is his first post-season work. He is taking the place of a proven veteran goalie. And he is up against the fiercest, quickest offense in the NHL. I think Markkanen should stay even if Roloson is ready to play.
