the eggs tumble

for easter, I bought nhl decals for the eggs- the Canadian teams. you just wrap the egg in the decal and dump it in boiling water and the decal adheres.
So at easter, sitting on our windowsill, were the six Canadian teams in neat little egg cups.
Now there are 4 egg cups, and a bigger bowl to the side with a sign over it that says - Losers. In that bowl now sits the Maple Leaf egg and the Oiler egg.
I'm not sure how long the Canucks egg will remain in its own cup - though I still hold out hope.
Last night I realized, ottawa has fallen - oh how the great team has fallen - and now sits at 6th with 92 points. They are 4-5-1 in the last ten. They could very well be out of the playoffs if they continue their downward spiral and who could take them out in Thursday's game? THE LEAFS.
Washington is doing too well. Rangers passed Ottawa.
I am not sad to take Ottawa out. It makes for good hockey when the leafs are technically null and void. It makes me feel powerful.
So the eggs in the bowl? Will be smashed out on the sidwalk as each team falls.

Re: the eggs tumble

So, I guess we are both not big fans of the Sens!

And you seem to have a bit of a mean streak!

Re: the eggs tumble

It sounds bitter, the egg thing - but really it's just for fun.
Honestly, I'm quite upset edmonton didn't get in but I'm still pretty in awe of how they played these last few weeks.
And the Leafs - well - i could never be mad at them for long. Just disappointed we can't join in the ride.
Sens are our rivals -there is lots of muck in there between the two teams. so yeah my mean streak shows through there.

Re: the eggs tumble

and if it helps my case - we did an extra Sens egg for our neighbour's eighteen month old, because his Dad is a massive Sens fan.
I have my soft spots.

I think it's pretty funny actually! I just couldn't pass up the chance to get at ya!

I wish you had a Jersey Devils egg to drop in there, but I don't think it would help me!

Re: the eggs tumble

I'd love to find all 30 teams and have 30 eggs to either smash or elevate to the finals.
Have to settle for my beloved (minus 1) canadian teams.
