Stanford's Myles Bradley and Cal's Martin Maric won individual titles on the final day of the NCAA track and field West Regional at Hayward Field in Eugene.
In all, the Cardinal qualified 13 individuals and the Bears qualified 14 individuals and the women's 4x100 relay team for the NCAA Championships, which will be held on June 10-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.
More athletes from both schools could earn at-large spots on Tuesday.
The Stanford men and women both finished fifth in the team standings at the West Regional.
Bradley capped off the weekend for the Cardinal by running a personal-best time of 13.53 in the 110-meter hurdles. The wind-aided time was the sixth-fastest mark in the nation this year.
The other Cardinal men also earning trips to the NCAA meet on Saturday were: Amaechi Morton, who was second in the 400 hurdles (50.75); Garrett Heath, who was third in the 1,500 meters (3:41.22); Daniel Schaerer, second in the discus; Kyle Davis-Hammerquist, fifth in the hammer;
The women's NCAA qualifiers for the Cardinal on Saturday were: Lauren Centrowitz, second in the 1,500 (4:23.57), Alicia Follmar, fourth in the 1,500 (4:23.84); Whitney Liehr, second in the triple jump; Emilie Amaro, third in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:16.39) and Michaela Wallerstedt (shot put). Wallerstedt was fourth in the shot put a day after advancing to the NCAAs in the discus.
Cal's final day of the West Regional was highlighted by Maric's
title defense in the discus. He recorded a season-best throw of 200 feet, 11 inches.
The Cal women finished seventh and the men were eighth.
Cherrelle Garrett had a pair of second-place finishes, running the 100 meters in 11.39 and running the final leg in the 4x100 relay team that clocked a season-best time of 44.67.
Tracey Stewart (triple jump), Brook Turner (400), Kandi Bonty (400), Francis Gadayan (800) and Katie Morgan (pole vault) also earned automatic berths in the NCAA meet.
