Pritchard was named Stanford's starting quarterback for Saturday's homecoming game against TCU after leading the Cardinal to 17 fourth-quarter points and the 24-23 victory over USC on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh said after Tuesday's practice that he will go with the sophomore from Tacoma, Wash., over fifth-year senior T.C. Ostrander, who started the first four games for the Cardinal and was 1-3.
"Three drives in the last three possessions for scores, it was very impressive. So was the way he handled himself with the ballclub," Harbaugh said. "I feel good about that decision."

It's official: Stanford stays with Pritchard
