Rams agreed to terms with rookie DE Chris Long, the No. 2 overall pick, on a six-year contract. For a while, Long was the favorite to go first in April's draft. But the Dolphins apparently determined that he didn't have what it took to be a premier 3-4 outside linebacker. The Rams will use Long as a base 4-3 end, which is different from the five technique position he played at UVA. He has the ability to record double-digit sacks annually at the new pass-rush friendly position.
