One week the NFL is worried about the length of players' hair. The next they are worried about old-time jersey requests.
The St. Louis Rams wanted to wear their 1999 uniforms from their Super Bowl XXXIV glory years. The Rams were turned down. Apparently requests must be made one year in advance.

I wonder how hard it is to get the jerseys. It sounded like the league would have to get them. Personally, I think the league needs all the firing up it can get. If wearing their old jerseys does it, then I say let them.

This is ridiculous. It shouldn't take the league one year to get the jersies. Let the team wear their throwbacks!

no big deal its just jerseys. people are going to watch the games anyway. football is americas most popular sport

I heard that happened when the Chargers wanted to change the everyday unis to the ones they have now. They had that great reaction to the throwbacks, but had to wait one full season to change em due to the NFL shooting them down on it.

That's exactly what I meant Seahawker. Some of these teams have been so ho hum for a while, or maybe they just need a little extra boost, for pete's sakes let them wear their throw back jerseys.
