If an award were to be given for good behavior in the NFL since 2000, the winner would be the St. Louis Rams, who have had only two arrested players involved in three incidents during that time.

Compare that to the Cincinnati Bengals (at least 23 incidents) and Minnesota Vikings (at least 21), according to a list of 308 incidents compiled by The San Diego Union-Tribune from news reports and public records since 2000.

“There are different cultures instilled by teams, where teams expect players to instill a certain public appearance,” said Dan Lazaroff, director of the Sports Law Institute at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. “You don't see many Yankee players (in baseball) getting into much trouble, do you?”
