Joe Klopfenstein

Here I thought finally we have a coach who utilizes the tight end. Well so far through this season there hasn't been much passes thrown Joe's way. Granted that Klopfenstein almost has more yards than last years tight ends combined, I still thought Joe would have close to 300 yards by now. I think Joe is a young stud who needs to get the ball more. Am I alone on this notion?

Welcome aboard...

See, I am not a Rams fan...but I got oodles of Klopfenstein cards I would love to get rid of on e-bay...so the more yards he gets the better my odds...so yeah..go Klopf

Re: Joe Klopfenstein

Hi Hailtotherams, welcome to GoTeamsGo

He's done a really good job when he gets the ball, for a rookie. I think he's passed that 1st question mark and will keep getting the ball more as the season goes on. Maybe not a steady game by game progression but he'll be getting 2-4 chances/game by the end of the year.

Look forward to chatting more with you.

Re: Joe Klopfenstein

Agreed. Four passes thrown his way a game would be a good way to throw of opposing defenses. When a team has Holt, Bruce, Curtis, and Steven Jackson as receiving threats, teams are going to focus their attention on those guys. Throwing some passes Klopfenstein's way will be the equivalent of a pitcher throwing a change-up.

Jackson is coming off a monster game...he caught 13 passes last week...makes people forget Marshall Faulk just about.
