| Tigers Outscore the Cardinals
Will Rhymes singled home Ramon Santiago with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to lift Detroit to a 7-6 win over St. Louis in Grapefruit League play.
Santiago led off the ninth with a bunt single against Fernando Salas, took second on a base hit by Timo Perez and scored on Rhymes' single.
Perez finished 4-for-5 with three runs scored and finished a double shy of the cycle. He led off the bottom of the first with a homer and also tripled, knocking in a pair of runs. |
