Cardinals call up Mark Worrell

According to the June 2 St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "The Cardinals on Sunday optioned reliever Kelvin Jimenez to Class AAA Memphis to make room for righthanded side-armer Mark Worrell, who stands to become the team's seventh rookie to make his major-league debut this season. Jimenez was optioned after surrendering five earned runs, including three home runs, in 3 1/3 innings of Saturday's 14-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates." So what's the good word on this Worrell kid? Is he ready for the big leagues?

Is he any relation to Todd Worrell. He used to close for the Cards too.

Nope. Straight from the Cards website: "no relation to former Cardinals closer Todd Worrell."
