Cardinals Sign Jason LaRue
The St. Louis Cardinals signed free-agent catcher Jason LaRue Monday to a oney-year deal. They also signed RHP Dewon Brazelton and RHP John Wasdin to minor league deals.

LaRue will back-up Yadier Molina. LaRue, the long time Cincinnati Reds catcher played with the Kansas City Royals last season. He's regarded as a pretty good defensive catcher but not much in terms of offensive production.

Sounds like a pretty good move. Never hurts having a good defensive catcher waiting in the wings.
