Cardinals losing streak
The St. Louis Cardinals lost their 8th straight game yesterday, falling 5-3 to the Cubs.

"We definitely have a major uphill battle, no doubt about it," St. Louis pitcher Adam Wainwright told reporters after the game. "But we play the important teams, and that gives us a chance." The Cards have three more games against the Cubs followed by three against Milwaukee, but they're six game out of first place. Can they recover?
