| Pujols ticked off at LaRussa Albert Pujols is ticked off at the NL manager for not playing him in last night's All-Star Game. In a funny twist, that just happens to be Tony LaRussa, his everyday manager with the St. Louis Cardinals. "It's the All-Star game. He can do what he wants," Pujols told reporters after the game. "He does whatever he wants. If I wasn't expecting to play, I wouldn't have come up here." Ouch. So, trouble in paradise?

| I do. LaRussa is an idiot. He's ruined baseball with his 18 million bullpen moves. Jeez. Baseball is not brain science. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine...But LaRussa thinks he's so much smarter than the rest of the world. |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa Managers really only affect the outcome of a dozen or so games a year...mostly you let them play. Olf Gene Mauch use to be that way...played the game for a run...never won a World Series I believe. |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa That was just one silly ending with Pujols left on the bench. How the hell could you leave arguably the best hitter in the sport sitting when there's 2 runners on or even the bases loaded. LaRussa is a fool. |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa LaRussa's an idiot but Pujols whinning and complaining about not being used brought back memories of his crybaby attitude last year when Ryan Howard won the NL MVP instead of him. |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa this is just another prime example of why the game should not matter ..... the fans voted in these guys and they showed up in droves and tuned in to see these guys ...... you need to play all of them hell im ticked off i didnt get to see Okijima pitch

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa As a Cardinal fan, I'm embaressed. And for once, he is complaining. I think he should of just kept his mouth shut, or talk to Larussa in private. I always thought of Pujols as good player with good values. But he does have a reason to get mad. Dont get me wrong. LOl, I just hope he doesn't turn into the Tony stewart of Baseball. | Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa Yeah, I am with you...hell, LaRussa didn't even look like he was playing for the win and that bothers me more than him not playing everyone...if it counts you gotta play to win it...you gotta...or he has no business managing the freakin team... |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa the better question is did anyone get sick of barry bonds holding his hat and bowing at the fans every freaking time he came out of the dugout, the only reason he was voted in was cause it was at san fran.. |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa Guess it's pretty much unanimous, because I too think LaRussa's an idiot (and not just for keeping Pujols on the bench) and that Phal Albert should just keep his fat yap shut, or at least keep this out of the media. Oh well, he'll either force LaRussa out before next season or demand a trade - that's what they all do, isn't it? |

| Re: Pujols ticked off at LaRussa I couldn't understand it either. I see why he held him out until the end. It was security to make sure he didn't use all the players, and Pujols is versatile enough to play several positions. Why not use him when the game was on the line. He was going to end the game either way. Get a hit and drive in the runs, or get out and game over. Do you think LaRussa kept him out to give him a rest since it is his player?
