Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals will participate in Monday night's home run derby. Are you kidding me? Pujols is mired in the midst of a career-worst 21-game homerless streak, and has no gone yard in 71 at-bats. Does he thing participating in the contest tomorrow will suddenly remind him how to hit one out of the park?

It's not like the Cardinals are chasing a playoff spot so why not. The Derby has messed up some guys like Abreu and Wright most recently. But at least for the fans, a superstar like Pujols will be swinging for the fences.

i like it, its gonna be prob the derby yet, a lot of big names in this one, i dont think it will hurt pujols, if anything it may help him, howard won it last year and went on to hit 58 out..

Ah why not...you get to pick who grooves the pitches to you and its all about the fans...the fans want to see Albert out there...

If he didn't participate everyone would say he is snubbing them...if he does he shouldn't...you can't win if you are a superstar...but, you can always cash the check baby...
