Chris Carpenter rehab start
According to Yahoo! Sports, "The St. Louis Cardinals' Chris Carpenter made his first rehab start Tuesday on his way back from elbow surgery... Carpenter started for the Cardinals' Class A Palm Beach team against Brevard County and got knocked around, facing 11 batters over 1 1/3 innings. The righthander yielded five runs - three earned - and five hits while striking out two. He did not issue a walk in taking the loss."

The Cardinals are ranked 27th in the majors in team ERA. Will Carpenter's return help?
