| Cardinals Sign Kip Wells and Adam Kennedy Today, the St. Louis Cardinals announced the signings of LHP Kip Wells and 2B Adam Kennedy. Wells is coming off an injury plagued 2006 with the Pirates which included a serious injury which some feared would end his career. Luckily, he recovered and finished the season out healthy. He should be able to be a #4 or #5 starter for the Cardinals. Kennedy should be the starting 2B with Ronnie Belliard likely gone as a free-agent. He's a nice 2B who plays tough and comes from the same Eckstein-type mold. Not only in Anaheim, but both are scrappy players.      |
