Today, the St. Louis Cardinals
announced the signings of LHP Kip Wells and 2B Adam Kennedy.
Wells is coming off an injury plagued 2006 with the Pirates which included a serious injury which some feared would end his career. Luckily, he recovered and finished the season out healthy. He should be able to be a #4 or #5 starter for the Cardinals.
Kennedy should be the starting 2B with Ronnie Belliard likely gone as a free-agent. He's a nice 2B who plays tough and comes from the same Eckstein-type mold. Not only in Anaheim, but both are scrappy players.
