It's been confirmed by MetsBlog through MLB and FOX that tonight's Game 5 between the Mets and Cardinals in St. Louis has been rained out and postponed. It will be made up tomorrow night at 8pm eastern.

So this means Tom Glavine will pitch on regular rest. The Cardinals will have the option of pitching Chris Carpenter on three days rest or Jeff Weaver on regular rest.

Interesting situation for La Russa there.

Oh no, this is a big hlp for the Cards... not only can they bring in Carpenter to pitch at home ( against Glavine), but have Weaver ( on full rest) ready for Maine in Game 6.
