Kariya, 32, spent his first nine seasons playing for the Anaheim Ducks, helping the Ducks reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2003. Following the 2003 season, he played a season with the Colorado Avalanche before playing the last two seasons for the Nashville Predators.


I have always had a soft spot for the Blues, since the seventies, when my most favourite Swedish leaf, Inge Hammarstrom, went there for a season and played as #17. the shirt is hanging on my office wall.
i hated seeing them do so poorly, so here's to getting Kariya.

I never said I did not like him...I like Kariya a lot...I got a few of his Upper Deck Czech edition rookie cards and a few jersey cards in my collection...I just rather see him in a Blue Jacket jersey.

Don't Get Me Started! Well You Just Did! I Hate Kariya With All My Heart Hes A Money Chasing Trader! He Said He Would Stay With The Ducks And Win A Cup With The Ducks! Two Days Later He Signs With The Avalanche For Less Money Because He Had A 'better Chance' To Win. He Deservers Every Year Of Loss He Gets. I Hope He Never Even Makes It To The Finals Again!

yeah, i absolutely hate that kind of crap. Will never like Cujo again for what he did to the leafs.
I think it's insane that Boston loved Bourque after what he did. they never should have retired his number after he defected to the Avs.

Oh, like an unwritten law that says you can go kill the guy?...I was about to write an article on this...and can use the input...do you really think there is an unwritten rule that says shouldn't hit a Lady Byng winner?

I think you get a lot of s**t thrown at you, seen as a dirtier hit, if you take on certain players, ie Gretzky, Jagr, Sakic, Crosby, then if you hit other players.
That's part of why i think Sundin is so great. I know he is no jagr or Sakic - but he is a finesse player, and when he gets hit, he could cry, but he makes no complaints, no boohoos about it - he just hits right back.
I think a player like Crosby gets away with a lot more than another, less skilled player might. i also think jagr can't take anything and the moment he is hit, his team is in an uproar.
