| Joey Props With Joey Lagano's historic win at NH speedway he became the youngest ever to win a Sprint Cup race... Where are his props from our members? This is like a few years ago when JPM came into cup. there were pages of threads how he was too inexperienced, hasn't paid his dues and didn't deserve his ride. Then when the checkered flag fell in Sonoma his rookie year there was total silence. Looks like history repeats itself. Can't wait till Danica does it too. |

| Re: Joey Props Never watched the race, so nothing to say. Perhaps it was because it was rain shortened and that he was in the right place at the right time people feel it was more a gift than an earned win? Who knows, I am just guessing. |

| Re: Joey Props I don't understand what "props" are but if if it means the same as congratulations, I wrote yesterday, soon after the race ended: " Master Joey's now an official winner. Good for him. He's got a ton of talent for a kid. I hope the cry that "He's doesn't deserve it!!" is short-lived.

| Re: Joey Props being n.h.is joey ''leadfoot'' logano's home track,it was a no-brainer where his first win would come at....i did not think the france family [w/out bill jr.&sr. ] still had that pull with the powers that control the weather.....but what puzzles me is, how did they make newman's tank empty ????

| Re: Joey Props Ditto that simon. What are we supposed to do? Come on here and say wow Joey just raced his arse off and earned that win? Sorry, can't even muster it. But I will say that I like Joey way more than I do Kyle. Is that good enough?

is liking or disliking a driver becoming the driving force behind the threads and posts on this forum???? i thought it was about racing |

| Re: Joey Props Oh dummy me I thought it was about opinions. Want to talk racing? He didn't race his way to the win. Period. Kurt, Jeff, Jimmie, and Tony to name a few "raced". I offered up my props in my way. |

Didn't Matt the Brat win the 2009 Daytona 500 in the same fashion? Didn't David Reutimann win the 2009 Coca cola 600 in the same fashion? Didn't Mikey Waltrip win the 2005 Daytona 500 in the same fashion ALSO Didn't our boy Dale Jr. win a BS fuel mileage race last year in Michigan? Didn't everyones hero Tony Stewart win a fuel mileage race this year at Pocono? The end result is a win is a win and Joey won this race. I hear there is a ticket tape parade for Joey Tuesday in downtown concord...I wish I were there! |

| Re: Joey Props What about Gordons win at Pocono in June 2007 when it was called just after the halfway point? Was that not a real deserving win? |

| Re: Joey Props I don't mind 'fuel milage' wins. Watching Tony Stewart at Pocono was exciting (even though he was way out in front). I think that the announcers had a part in making it so. Also, the in car listening to Tony push in the clutch way early and glide it in saving fuel was, for me, exciting. Races that end early due to rain tick me off. I understand why they call the race, but I feel somewhat cheated. Michaels win on the Daytona 272 and a half is one that still leaves a bad taste. For me, if I watched the finish this past Sunday I would have walked away from the TV with a bad taste in my mouth and not had much to say. Fuel milage races, while typically boring, still take skill and finesse for the eventual winner to succeed therefore it is a deserving win. Rain shortened races are not the same. I recall Jeff Burton winning at Darlington after slamming the wall and destroying the right front, drove under the caution he created while the skies opened up. He was in the lead and won in a car that was for all intents and purposes done for the day. |
