If he were the mechanic who works on my truck down at the garage, it'd be one thing. But this guy is on TV, speaking to millions of people. We, the audience, deserve better than what he gives us. Even Buddy Baker, who is about as "Country" as a race announcer gets, speaks in acceptable English, though some of his "Good Ol' Boy" colloquialisms take my breath away sometimes. But, of course, all this is just my personal opinion.

| Re: "The Haircut" gone? Looks like "The Haircut" is gone for good this year... Bill Weber will not be part of TNT's coverage of its last two NASCAR Sprint Cup races this season, according to a statement issued by a spokesperson from the network’s parent company, Turner Sports. Ralph Sheheen, who replaced Weber during the coverage of last Sunday’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, will handle play-by-play duties for Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona and the LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway on the following weekend. Sheheen will be calling the races alongside regular analysts Kyle Petty and Wally Dallenbach in the booth. | Re: "The Haircut" gone? Makes you wonder if Weber made it worse after being yanked the first time. As an employer I can tell you some people instead of taking a punishment that amounts to very little will turn it into losing a job. |
