Bobby Labonte had a stressful 2008, as his petty racing team struggled with just two top ten finishes in 36 starts.

The team eventually let him out of his contract after running into a financial wall in December, ending a three-year partnership. However, he has new hope, a new team and a new number.

Labonte unveiled his latest ride Tuesday; the 96 is a white Ford he'll drive for Hall of Fame racing. His sponsor, ask.com, is now the official search engine of Nascar.

Labonte hasn't finished top 15 in points since 2004, but he believes a career renaissance might be around the corner.

"It's a new chapter. I get to put down and I get to start with a fresh pen. I just got a great opportunity. As a twist of fate, or whatever, it's not just an 'oh, by the way, here's something to do.' It's a darn great opportunity," Labonte said.

i dont see where the blue flames come in but i think it would look better if the flames were red

It is ugly and generic. Oh well as long as it goes faster than everyone else.

Maybe they will spruce it up as the season goes by...

Are you sure it's not just that Blue Oval on the front that makes it unappealin?

definitly is kinda plain, no pazzazz.

but maybe it was a short term throw totogather for the unvieling , they just got thing going last week.


the old DLP car was much better looking

I can't have anyne knowing about it. It was hard enough rooting for a Dodge, but a FORD????

Good thing that it's just a sticker! If it was a real Ford, that would be different!

I don't know if its Petty blue or just infuenced by Petty.

However, a blue flame is hotter than a red flame.

The flames don't even look like flames. They look like blue streamers. It would be nice to have a little detail to the flames.
