I've seen some previews for this movie, "Talledega Nights" isn't it called? Not a huge Will Ferrell fan so personally I think I'm going to pass. What else can you tell us about the film? When does it open?

I'm with Lefty, I doubt I will see it. It looks too corny for me. I saw a show where Mikey Waltrip was debating it with David Poole from the Charlotte Observer. Of course Mikey being the promotor of anything that means a buck, was saying (with hands waving) its great for the sport, blah, blah, blah. But David says he won't watch it because he's from the South and it's a slam on Southerners.

Will Ferrell has his hits (Old School, Anchorman) and misses (Bewitched, Kicking & Screaming), honestly I cannot remember a comedic actor with more inconsistency in his career. With that said I have free passes to a screening for this movie tonight, I pray it is not 100 minutes of him screaming like an idiot, but if I am forming an opinion based on the trailers, I will probably be dissapointed. But I will try to remain objective and post a detailed response later tonight or early tomorrow.

I'm just glad its finally coming out this week so I won't have to watch anymore commerials about it. It has become as irritating as the little debbie commercials as far as I am concerned. That said it looks like one of those movies you will either love or hate, no in between. Personally I'll wait for the DVD with netflix because that averages about $l.25 per film as to the $7-$8 bucks at the movies

I can't wait to see this movie. I'm going to take it like it is supposed to be, a parody of NASCAR and its fans. If anyone can't see that for what it is, I feel sorry for them.

remember the 51 mello yellow car from days of thunder, to the 42 mellow yellow car that kyle petty drove before coors light.that back when kyle actually contended for the cup.
