Bill just sold majority interest in BDR this week. whatever "deals" Bill had going are, I'm sure, on hold and under review...

JUst what the 41 team needs.

I know that Bobbys career is far from on the rise, but Sadler is just a cut about M Waltrip. Good wtih the media, and a never was on the track.

If Bobby isn't going to get the job, I would prefer to see someone a bit younger get the job, and have a chance to prove themselves.

I think Elliot is a great guy to hear talk, but he is more suited to be full time media than take up that seat.

Just my 2 cents on that.

I agree, I think Bobby would bring more to the ride than Sadler. Now if the 77 ride comes open I'd rather Bobby get that ride.

Re: Bobby Labonte to Drive the #41 Target Chevrolet

I think Bobby has a lot more wins in him. He just didn't have the right resources at Petty Enterprises to compete with these juggernaut teams. Hopefully at Earnhardt-Ganassi he can push for the Chase next year. Can't wait to get my Target#41 gear!!!

wish I could be as optimistic as you, but I don't think the Chase is in the cards .. in fact, I doubt there's a win waiting with his name on it. but he should get a few more T10's...

i agree that labonte has plenty of wins left in him and there could be a spot for labonte in the chase next year.labonte is a better driver than sadler and if labonte had sadlers ride last year i wouldnt be surprised if labonte had a few more wins under his belt.i like sadler he is a good guy and is always smiling on t.v. and is never hiding from the camera's even after a wreck and i hope he finds a ride for next year.

Re: Bobby Labonte to Drive the #41 Target Chevrolet

i'M REALLY SURPRISED THAT BOBBY HASN'T LANDED A BETTER RIDE , gem should be talking to him about the 10 or 19, with AJ in the other one.
bobby is very proffessional with the media, and should be able to pick up a seasons sponsors.

although I think DEI is better then most believe, it's still more of a sideways move with chip coming on board, GEM would be a step or two up, or even penske would one step up.
haven't found anything about his possible return to gibbs in the 22

good luck BOBBY, you still got it in my book

i think the #41 car will be a good ride actually because dei has always pulled out wins with dale jr.,truex jr.,and mark martin so im happy to see labonte in a car that gives him a chance to win.

Couldn't have said it better, Charlie.

The quote Daymon Runyon, "The fight isn't always to the strongest, nor the race to the fastest, but that's the way to bet!"

Bobby "might" have a chance but it's nothing I'd lay down serious money on.

I know that NASCAR has been all about the "still wet behind the ears" youth movement lately, but I think that both Bobby and Elliott have alot more to offer than any of the other guys that have been a part of NASCAR's Silly Season this year.

no argument from me on Bobby .. as long as you aren't looking for wins, just a good consistent top 20 driver. Elliott's (Sadler) a different story .. one thing he isn't is consistent. and his inconsistent finishes aren't because of "outside" influences either, it's 95% between his ears -- he knows how to go fast, but he also knows how to crash .. and does both with about the same regularity. That said, one of his good points is he usually comes across well in front of a camera.

labonte was a consistant top 20 driver with the 43 car so it wouldnt be that great of a season if thats all he does this season.and i was reading on nascar .com that labonte isnt the driver for the 41 car yet

Re: Bobby Labonte to Drive the #41 Target Chevrolet

Now they have him in the 8, Montoya in the 41, Truex in the 1 and Almirola part time in the 42. Guess we'll know at Daytona who's driving what....maybe
