The Ride of Their Lives features never-before-seen footage spanning NASCAR's entire history from the archives of NASCAR Media Group, as well as the final interview with Bill France Jr., NASCAR president from 1972-2000 and son of NASCAR founder Bill France. Other drivers spotlighted in the film include Dale Earnhardt, Kyle Petty, Tim Richmond and Wendell Scott.

Great program.If it is on again at some point try and see it. The stories on Davey Allison and Tim Richmond brought back a lot of fading memories.

DW's wife agreed that he had/has a big mouth (good grief was her comment). It was just an overall good story of NASCAR's hero's since the beginning.

Another well done film by CMT. There was a lot of footage and pics I've never seen before and the way they weaved the stories together with the history was pretty good. I was especially pleased to see how much time they gave to Tim Richmond's story, and to Wendell Scott's time with NASCAR during a very turbulent time in our country's history.

I remember when we went to Riverside to run and Richmond spanked all of us.

A joke that circulated years back about Wendell: We all come in the pits for new fresh tires, race gas and a drink for the driver. Wendell come in and got used tires, pump gas and a slice of watermellon!

Do you rmember his first wife Brooke? My mom hated her. At the NASCAR wives aux she basically said her "stuff" dont stink. My mom and a few others set out to prove that theory wrong!

It was a great show. Really hard to watch Bobby and Judy talk about Davey. Especially when Bobby started breaking down. I did notice that Adam was not talked about much. The show focused on the families Adam might have been mentioned once.

If anyone has not read "one helluva ride" by Liz Clarke the book is simialar to what CMT aired. Really good read.

Another thing I noticed was the amount of time they devoted to Brian France. I guess it was a whole 2 seconds (at the most) to show a picture of him at the end of the movie, and that was it. I guess that's understandable, since he hasn't really done anything positive worth talking about.
