Hi nolimitken, welcome to goteams forum, this a bit of a heated thread so I guess your question was overlooked. I would try to give you an answer, but the truth is it depends on who's your favorite driver. Truthfully there is no one answer. see what I dont unerstand is that Jeff is on probabtion for an OFF track incident, he's not on probation for aggressive driving or because he toke out 10 guys in a race. Now if Jeff descides to throw matt or someone else aside of punch someone you better believe Jeffs a** will be grass, but it was a racing incident, Jeff appologized, lets move on hopely the Brat will quit b**ching already. His acting like he has never toke someone out before.

I think the point you are missing is that other drivers get penalties for "agressive driving".....Tony got end of the lead lap in Daytona ..remember?

I honestly believe that NASACR has become sooooooo candy ☻☻☻☻☻ed that all OFF TRACK incidents will be penalized.....but that is after the race is over...ergo not affecting the race results....just the points and $$$$$.

Does this make sense??

So Jeff should get penelized for Matt stupid misjudgment, NASCAR's not that stupid, Larry Mac put up a good point


"Short of something happening to him in the final laps, Gordon was going to win the race. He was much faster than Kenseth, and he beat him back to the throttle. If you spin out someone getting into the corner, then you're obviously trying to wreck them. You're driving in way too deep, and you're attempt is to use the old theory that eight wheels are better than four. But when you look at what happened, it was on the throttle. The video showed that Gordon beat him back to the throttle by three or four car lengths."

See if Jeff wrecked him getting into the corner it would have been intentional like we see happen all the time, like the incident at Bristol between the 2. But it was getting off the corner??? If matt didnt slam on the gas it was his fault not Jeffs, Jeff was just trying to win

I'm sick of the 24. Sick...of..him...he can race everyone but no one can race him (a few races ago the 48, his own teammate). "What's he doing racing me". He bumps drivers out of the way to win (not talkin about the 17), I'm talkin about the other drivers I've seen him do this to. He is a whiner, one of the biggest.

"Do unto others as they would do unto you" does not exist in his vocabulary. Yes, he has wins. This is '06. And his wins are fewer.

To finish this off, Jeff has a reason to wreck The Brat, maybe it was payback last weekend maybe not, all I know is that it happens in all sports and its not new. Jeff has won 75 NASCAR races not 2 like many here think, '02 Sharpie and last week arent the only races Jeff has won, he has won many many many races where he didnt wreck a guy and has finished 2nd many many times, notible at Darlington and Martinsville this year.

Very strange coming off a Stewart fan cause Stewarts the SAME EXACT WAY. He punched Vickers for racing him, he crashes who evers in his way, one thing about Tony is that he HATES when other block 'em. He crashes people like its his job. He's been quiet rescently but only cause he hasn't done too well.

Jeff Gordon is no different than any other driver out there on the track. If Jeff's supposed accidental hit of Kenseth was just a racing deal, then so should any other incident, or accident of that matter and no one should get penalized. It does not matter that he was going to win the race, he drove through another competitor intentionally, retaliation or not. He should have been penalized for rough driving just for the fact he was going to win the race but chose to take somewhat out anyways. This goes for any driver including my driver DJ. And since I'm on a rant anyways, JG needs to have his head removed from his ☻☻☻☻☻.

Gordon fans will never convince gordon haters to like him, just like yankees fans and red sox fans.......Sure the yankees are a storied franchise with 26 world championships and all this glory, but they still SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I admit it is fun to say that.. but when I say the Yankees suck I don't mean that they can't play, just that they are ALWAYS there to seemingly spoil the "fun" (except for 04) but that is kind of how I compare it to Gordon.

I agree, and another thing people seem to forget.........is HE IS ON PROBATION FOR SHOVING THE SAME GUY!!! I think it took Nascar less than 5 minutes to make a call that is was a racing incident. Yea, right, there's no favoritism in Nascar.
Probation in Nascar is nothing more than a limp noodled slap on the wrist.
