Well, since I'm not a Kenseth fan, but you're right....I don't like Hendrick Motorsports either. I would hold anyone up to how I feel about what happened today at the end of the race. And, I will let everyone know right now if it would have been the other way around, I would have been saying the same thing. Also, if it would have been the #9 bumping someone outta the way, I would have only been reading the posts in this forum (not replying since the 9 is my team). But, I would have been ashamed and agreeing that what happened was wrong.

I was/am a devote Dale Earnhardt fan, and still have my garage and spare bedroom decorated with his memorabilia. However, I never agreed with that "wrecking is racing" motto. DE was rough, no doubt and did knock out a few competitors over the years. But his style was more, bump and run. Gordon literally drives through people when he wants the win bad enough.
BTW, when Dale dumped Terry Labonte at the Bristol night race several years ago, my heart sunk........and for a brief moment, I was sorry to be an Earnhardt fan. I really felt bad for Terry and his fans that night. But contarary to popular belief, DE didnt knock people out as bad as people say. He just "rattled their cage".

But to answer your question. If Earnhardt had done the same thing, I believe no matter who it is, should be sent to the back of the field.

I don't think we have to worry much about someting like that happening. Kasey doesn't play that way or he would of won a lot more races already.
We can leave that to the Jeffs and Kevins and whatever other dirty players out there.

Apples and oranges. That was life to Earnhardt, kill or be killed. It's unacceptable to ol gordo for someone to do it to him, but it's ok for him to do it to someone else. If he didn't complain about it when it happens, and just returned the favor at a later time and place, I could live with that.

I guess that means it's ok to drive through the guy for the win, especially knowing Nascar will turn a blind eye to it.

And that sums it up best of all. Jeff Gordon is the whiny kid in the playground who shoves others and takes their ice cream, but as soon as someone touches his ice cream he's off telling the teacher!

BOY AM I GOIN UPSET A LOT OF PEOPLE. I can't help it I love that kind of racing. I know that there are rules that drivers have to go by but back in the day it was dog eat dog and you did what ever it took to win. To me thats the thrill of the race get to the front no matter what it takes. Second place is just the first loser. Not to long ago there wasn't all the rules they have now, I think its because the sponsors just got tired of paying for all the banged up cars. Come on though, some of you have to admit that it gets your juices flowin when the drivers get agressive.
P.S. Please don't be upset with me because I feel this way, but I miss the old days when the BLACK #3 was on the track.

Doesn't really answer the question...is the grip only that it was Gordo?...Had Jr. Done it...would the thread be along the lines of..."what a fantastic move...just like the old man"...

I mean, basically what I am hearing is...we don't like Gordo to do it...but, hey, someone else...not so bad.
