what headset do you guys have?

will be going to two or three races before the season is over and need to pick up a new pair. what do you guys think i should look at?

Within above there is info on what to look for in headphones. Does not speak to or recommend a brand name. Go for the best full ear cover, noise cancelling set you can comfortably afford. They are THE most important component.

If phones are to be used primarily for race listening rather than music/audiophile level appreciation, there is no need to spend big/additional $$ to get the wide range of frequency response necessary for music.

but i just wanted to know if anyone had a set of heaphones/scanner that they are really happy with

Wish I could help on this one, but the only ones I have are for pit crew (with the mike and all) and they run about $200 a set, minimum (new), though mine are not "minimum" by any means (they're "American Radio" brand.)
