Boris and the #08 EM Motorsports team withdrew their entry and didn't make the trip to Talladega.

Any info on the reason why MO? or why he wasn't in the 60?

No explanation was given, they just withdrew. To begin with, I didn't understand the reason why Boris would have driven the #08 as it would have gone home if the qualifying session was rained out. Makes you wonder if Boris' own car wasn't ready and he was just looking for a team with a car. I'd guess Ford wouldn't let him drive a Dodge, but that's just speculation.

When Boris tried to enter Watkins Glen as the #10 car in 2007, Gillett Evernham Motorsports killed the deal because Boris would have entered his own Ford with the #10 on it. Either GEM or Dodge refused to have their car run as a Ford. These manufacturer deals can prevent things like that from happening.

I was thinking Manufacturer thing, but didn't want to say it till I seen some documentation. That was a thought though.
