| Ken Shcrader in the 96 at Bristol Best news I've heard in a while. Definitely one of Kenny's favourite tracks Schrader in the #96 at Bristol: Ken Schrader is now listed on the Bristol entry list as the driver of the #96 Hall of Fame Racing/DLP Toyota for the Sharpie 500. Brad Coleman ran the car last week at Michigan and is scheduled to run in 7-10 races in the #96 for the rest of the season. See my updated Bristol Entry List.(8-20-200

| Re: Ken Shcrader in the 96 at Bristol Kenny's a great guy. I've enjoyed watching him over the last couple decades but... Is this the best the #96 team could come up with? I think admitting their mistake and giving Tony Raines the ride again would have been a better choice than Kenny.

| Re: Ken Shcrader in the 96 at Bristol The problem when you give single rides to guys like Tony Raines for a limited time they are out there to prove how much they belong in the car. They take risk they don't need to. Teams are looking for good finishes - but they want/need to finish. That's what makes replacement drives like Schreader and Mike Skinner attractive. They have nothing to prove. Know how to "points" race if needed. Know how to provide needed feedback on the car etc... You have to look at the big picture. |

Don't let a driver like Raines go out there, take risks and actually race. Get someone who "Big picture" motors around all day.tays out of everyone's way and just finishes. Yep. That's the NA__AR I've come to hold dear to my heart. |

| Re: Ken Shcrader in the 96 at Bristol I'm not for points racing either. But if I owned a team you have to play with what NASCAR throws you. You can't pour a $15 million budget into something you won't get any return. Outside the top 35 means you aren't getting a return on your money. Period. That's just the way it is. |

| Re: Ken Shcrader in the 96 at Bristol I guess it depends on if you pull for a driver or a team. I'm happy Skinner is in the 00, because he's helping MWR figure out if the 00 needs a new driver or a new crew. Same goes for Schrader. He is a solid driver who will give the team a better idea if it's the crew or the driver. Schrader has historically been good at Bristol. It makes sense that he drives in this race. |

Good point about Kenny. He probably will have a better chance of making the race at Bristol than Coleman. More experience at short tracks and all that. In looking over the entry list, I see him as borderline as to being one of the fastest eight Non Chosen. We shall wait and see. |

Kenny, OTOH, just goes in, does pretty much the best that he can with whatever he's given then goes back to his LM dirt cars. As far as I can remember Kenny's never told a car owner how the team should be run or what the owner should conduct his private life. The kind of guy you like to have working for you. |
