| NASCAR Announces 2009 Schedule DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR announced on Tuesday its 2009 national series schedules, which features realigned dates for the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Truck series. Nationwide Series The series will have a 35-race schedule. | Re: NASCAR Announces 2009 Schedule How long will Texas continue to get the shaft on the fall race? I know most of you can't believe how big of a deal it is - but it is. It falls on opening weekend of deer season in Texas. Hunting in Texas is a $3 Billion/year sport. Starting early in the week I-35 heading south out of DFW that week is a traffic jam of people heading south for the weekend. By Friday at quitting time it's the largest traffic jam of the year. I know many of you may be thinking in other parts of the country that yeah but it's only the poor rednecks who wouldn't/couldn't afford to go to a NASCAR race. I beg to differ. It's 100% their target audience. These are people who pay $5,000 to $25,000 per year for a lease, just as much for vehicles and other equipment PER YEAR...... Just a pet peeve of mine. Every year I attend 2 races. The one in Texas in the spring and the fall Talledega race because it's the next closest to the house that doesn't fall on opening day of deer season....A 17 hour drive. Now they moved it to the week before arghhhh. |

| Re: NASCAR Announces 2009 Schedule Yes, I'm a JR Fan. Get to go to the vegas race every year. Awesome place to watch the race, but not always good for JR. I'd rather see him on a Super Speedway. And found this on google. |

| Re: NASCAR Announces 2009 Schedule Bet I've been to Vegas a dozen times .. all on business (they have lots of conventions there .. and a pretty good computer show), but have never been to the races there. My son likes to tell me about when he was working on Rich Bickle's BGN team and he was tagged to co-drive the hauler to Vegas. He had a blast. I know I've always enjoyed my trips there. Hopefully next time I get to see some racing. Glad you're here. Be sure to stop by the "Introduce Yourself" Forum and tell us a little about yourself. |

This is just sad. One day, one of my other nascar sites was not coming up with their fourm... so I had a fit. I just had to have a NASCAR fix where I could talk to folks online. So I googled "NASCAR chat rooms", and Goteamsgo came up. And here I am. But the other site came back up, and I still go there too. But I don't want to name the site, because I'm afraid that I'd get kicked off of here. This is a cool site. |
