If you decided that there aren't enough "Stars" in the CTS and you missed the race last night you missed a great race.

When they threw the green Mike Skinner tried to make it three wide going into turn one!!?? How many times do you see THAT on Cup? Great side-by-side racing the entire race. Five of the six lead changes were made on the track, not in the pits! Johnny B. comes from behind to make it three wins in a row.

CTS continues to have the most exciting racing in NA__AR. IT's a great series.

As always I watched the whole race and enjoyed it very much. When they went 3 wide going into turn 1 on the 1st lap, I told my daughter, now see why I watch this, they actually start racing when the green flag waves and don't stop til the checkered flag waves.
It is the best racing of the weekend, every weekend. Not counting the road courses (cause I do watch all of them), the truck races are the only ones that I sit and watch the whole race. Cup and Busch I channel surf during, but not trucks, scared I might miss something.

It was a very good race. I was waiting to see how that #51 would run. It does not look right running in the mid 20s.

Yep, a great race as usual. It looked like Darnell was gonna do a good job holding off JB, but Benson, the consumate professional that he is got around him with 4 to go (there's another thing we haven't seen much of on the Cup side) and took the victory.

I would have liked to see Matt Crafton run a little better. I think a Benson/Hornaday championship battle with Crafton in the mix would be fun to watch. Could you imagine the story that would create? A guy that fought for so long just to get into the winner's circle finally does it, and is suddenly in the mix for a championship?

Speaking of points, I should mention that Crafton is 3rd in the standings, still only 91 marks behind Benson, under the "old" system.

Yep. CTS is what stock car racing is all about.

How about the Musgrave save? He had not one, not two, but three chances in that spin to hail the wall and/or take out a quarter of the field. Getting some grass was virtually nothing.

I shudder when I see people imply that the CTS drivers are "inferior" to the Cup primadonna's.

BTW, I read where Petty is considering McCumbee for a Cup ride next season. Opinion? My feeling is that the kid is at least a year, maybe two away from being Cup-ready. Plus, if he comes up next seaosn he'll be in the same freshman class as "Wunderboy." Chad'll get lost in the shuffle, as Casey Atwood did when Harvick stepped into Dale's seat.

The lack of press coverage ("Wunder Boy" will get more media coverage than the Jon Benet Ramsey Murder!) will make it appear as though McCumbee will be floundering and he'll be out of the ride by July. Sayonara, Cup career.

I missed the last 1/3 of the race. Last I heard, Johnny was in 6th complaining that his truck was out to lunch. I was surprised to see he won.

Well it seems the changes NA$CAR made to the trucks, didn't kill the racin.... wonder how long before they screw with it till they do kill the racin... lord knows they won't ever let the exciting CTS get more popular than CUPORAMA

Haven't you read that the ONLY way you can have an exciting championship race is to have a playoff, a.k.a The Chase?" Everything else is merely "a race." Who's interesting in watching anything as mundane as THAT? It has to be given some "pizzaz" to make it REALLY interesting!

Which is what makes me very afraid to hear that Kobalt has suddenly decided they don't want to replace Craftsman as title sponsor next year. I'm not one to support conspiracy theories (always), but I find their sudden change of heart a tad strange. I really hope Craftsman re-ups.

I agree 100%. I've always been proud of my Craftsman tools and in turn am proud to be a CTS fan. MY biggest fear is that NA__AR will sell the series out for the quick money from some TelCom or dot com thing, which will probably last about as long as most Hollywood marriages.

The reason for that, Dustin, is that the drivers in CTS are there to race.

Why, it apparently even made a racer out of Johnny B. last night. Were my eyes deceiving me when he laid a bumper to Darnell in order to get past him?

It's about time! I remember when James Ince was his crew chief in Cup. he once threatened benson that if real Benson didn't start showing some desire to win on the track, he'd personally show him how to do it in the pits. That's one of the main reason I believe Benson's not in Cup now. Gosh knows he can drive.

that's been my gripe against Benson ever since I became aware of him .. he just doesn't seem motivated to "TRY" to win .. kinda like if it doesn't fall in his lap it wasn't meant to be.... I don't know where he got that attitude 'cause his dad wasn't that type of racer!
