Greatest paint scheme.

what do you all think the greatest paint scheme of all time is? it can be a regular or special paint scheme run by any one. please provide a photo.

p.s. look before you post so that you don't post something that is already there. we dont want 50 black #3 cars or 60 gordon flames. you can post one from the same driver, just not the same scheme.

DW's Mountain Dew car is really nice. There are others I like, I just need to remember them!

I've always liked flyin' Ryan's Kodak Gold scheme as well.

Not surprised. I've seen Peter Maxx prints before ... out of my price range.

This nice and simple one on Fearless Freddy Lorenzen's '65 Galaxie:

If I had to go with one from the flashy scheme era, I'd have to go with this one because of my love for the outdoors:

Re: Greatest paint scheme.

While I love the Wrangler cars, when Childress/Earnhardt came out with the first black Monte Carlo Aerocoupe in 1988, my jaw dropped. In my opinion, it is the most menacing looking car to ever hit the track.

Yup. Menacing! But I didn't want to be redundant. The style is sleek, simple, and doesn't have so many sponsors on it that my brain vibrates when I look at it. Less is more. Shame we'll never see it again ...

It may seem foolish to some, but my heart breaks at the loss of Dale and that ol' Goodwrench #3. I liked his blue and yellow Wrangler car as well.

I miss him ... but I don't ever want to see anyone, not even Jr., in that black Goodwrech #3.

That is his Peter Max car. It's named for the artist who designed it who is also known for his acid-trip paintings.

Childress had to practically twist Sr.'s arm to get him to drive it.

Well first of all lugnut hello, and welcome to GTG forums. If your a big fan of Nascar join us Sunday for the live chat durring the Pocono race!

Secondly, to post an image all you have to do is have a link to the image from the web. After that, click the little image box at the top of your posting area, it looks like a mountain with a sun in the background(if you hold your courser over the boxes they pop up a description of what they do). A box will pop up in the center of your screen, pop the url to the picture in there, and click ok. It will post it in proper VBcode and then post your reply and it should pop up. If it doesn't then there might be a problem with the link.

Hopefully I didn't confuse you, but that is the easiest way to post an image. Make sure it follows forum rules though happy chatting!
