Could be RCR. Childress said a couple people they wanted to talk to wouldn't be able to talk contract until August. Just my own speculation, of course.

I did not tought about that one, but it seems a logical deduction.

Neither Boyer, Harvick, Burton has a champion provisional.
No "meaningful" champion provisional is available (tony to SHR)
They have the sponsor for the car (General Mills) but it will be outside the top 35. So they need someone who can qualify the car, and I guess he proved he can.

But I don't think GEM will let him go, unless they can't build a sponsor package for their third car next year.
