I'd be cautious. Remember, Bobby Labonte going to RCR was considered a "lock," also. Until the name is on the paper, it's speculation.

I think it would be a very good match up. Both from Indiana, both are very smart racers and their slightly opposing personalities would make for interesting moments. Penske has taken good care of Ryan but if he was to move on, I'd wish it was to something like what Tony is offering (or supposedly offering)

It'd be a good fit. Both come from serious open wheel (USAC Silver Crown and sprint car, backgrounds.

As for Jack Daniels, I think that's pretty much off the table. I'm hearing either UPS or BurgerKing, and a rumor I don't have much faith in that they're already talking three teams?. I'm surprised at UPS; I hear that they're having a financial pinch?
