maybe, but the driver is supposed to be the spokesman for the product, whether he actually uses it or not. it's hard to believe a spokesman of a product when said spokesman publicly admits to not using the product, not enjoying the product, and has no plans to use the product.

i know he's never come out and said he won't or doesn't drink Jack, but he doesn't have to simply because he doesn't drink. that itself covers alcoholic products as whole.

Watch some of thse guys who drink the sodas and sports drinks. Easy to see they really don't care about it but there is money involved so they do what they have to do ... like it or not. Not sure I've ever seen Clint in an ad for his sponsor, but I could be wrong.

i see what you're saying, but at least they take a swig of it in Victory Lane or after the race. there's no chance you'll see Newman taking a shot of JD in Victory Lane like you would see Busch, Kahne, or Junior (to name a few) drinking a cold beer.

i usually try to pay attention to what sponsors drivers are naming or products they're advertising for and what that sponsors target markets are. obviously, JD would be whiskey drinkers.

maybe you're right and JD has such a reputation that they view sponsorship as more of a reminder to drink their product, instead using their driver to promote their product. obviously, Boyer hasn't spent much time in Victory Lane so i haven't gotten a good look at all the products around him, but i'd venture to say there was JD in his celebration and if he drinks, that's what he was having.

#33 would then go to the UPS/Bowyer car.

That way, he'd have some good number symmetry with the 29, 30, 31, and 33.

They try to keep this hush hush because of merchandise sales.
All I know is UPS....Like Fed Ex....does NOT want to be associated with a team with a liquer or beer sponsor.
Maybe JD isn't leaving RCR and if that is true, UPS won't be there.
