People don't tune in to see if DEJ is finally going to win a race,
they tune in to see Kyle Busch. Not even Denny Hamlin or Jamie McMurray has been able to rise to KB's status.

Can't wait to see what the hoopla will be this week after Daytona, I have a feeling what ever it is, Kyle Busch's name will be written all over it.
I guess I'm of the minority. I tune in to see how many different drivers are doing. But if Shrub is leading, I change the channel.

Re: Montoya vs. Busch discussion....

Montoya got himself taken out as well when he tackled KyB. It was an instant-Karma situation that made me chuckle a bit. BTW, I happen to like both these guys as drivers so I can't declare a favorite.

I find it curious that someone who has 'Goddess of All Things NASCAR' in their signature block can not enjoy a race because a certain driver is leading.

Re: Montoya vs. Busch discussion....

Its just when a Goddess hates something, watch out!

On one hand, good for JPM for not taking any crapola from Kyle Busch. ON the other hand, its like the whole pot/kettle situation. It would have had a much better impact if it had been somebody like Matt Kenseth or Jeff Burton that bumped Kyle, showing that even the 'quiet' ones aren't gonna take it anymore. They wouldn't have spun him out, either.

The spinning out was a bit uncalled for... just not cool.

I'm not really a fan of JPM or Kyle Busch, but I do have a lot of respect for Kyle's driving. When he's not wrecking everything in sight. I'm sure if I had followed JPM's career when he was an open wheeler, I may have more respect for him too. Right now the only good thing I can say about him is he is pretty decent on a road course.

I'm just not fond of open wheelers right now. (Hornish is SO on my list!)

My comment isn't centered on a fan having a favorite driver but does pertain to a fan not watching a race simply because a certain driver is in front.
I think jooonior is a mediocre driver enjoying daddy's fame but I'll still watch the race if he's in the lead.

Here are some words of advice regarding dealing with "Gods and Godesses"

My gosh, has no one here ever read Homer's "Odyssey" or "Iliad?"

Trust me, you don't want the Gods ticked off at you!

Thankfully, in the privacy of our homes, we are allowed to watch what we want, when we want. Here at GTG we are also allowed and encouraged to have opinions. We don't have to agree with others opinions as long as we respect them.
