Charlotte native and NASCAR legend Buddy Baker is one of seven who will be inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in Novi, Mich., on Aug. 13. Michael Andretti, John Force, Paul Goldsmith, motorcycle champion Wayne Rainey, sports car racer Richie Ginther and aerobatics flyer and auto speed-record setter Betty Skelton are also in this year's class. -- Charlotte Observer

I can understand everyone on the list but Michael Andretti. Maybe he made it 'cause of the high-speed-360-and-keep-on-trucking maneuver??? Or the fact he's got the record for the most laps lead at Indy without a win??? OR because his dad is Mario Andretti???

His try at F1 stunk up the place and he has a single CART championship ('91) - hardly credentials for the Hall of Fame.
