Is that sarcasm? I don't hate Fox as much as others, but I don't think it is that much better than the rest. One question is ESPN/ABC going to do the split screen commercials like they do for Indy car? |

| Re: Goodbye Fox *sniff* A big no on that. Wish they would but it just isn't in the cards. My guess is the sponsors don't want to give up any portion of the TV screen. |

I'll take DJ or Rusty any day over the Junebug loving DW. It's a shame too, because I know that Larry Mac and DW know their racing, I just think they got things out of control. Someone just needs to rein them in, and remind them that they aren't the show. |

Didn't you hear him almost burst into tears when Shrub wrecked Jr??? We must watch different races. All I hear is the 18 and 88. The other 41 need to sue Fox... DW is way too attached to those two to even come close to being objective. And the only reason he mentions the 18 is the Toyota connection. Am I the only one that see;s that? It's not about Kyle, it's about that emblem on the front. The Waltrips are in bed with the Toyota's. When DW had his truck team, the ran trucks, and of course, Mikeys great team runs em! |

| Re: Goodbye Fox *sniff* Well, from my perspective, 1. Fox Doesn't have a friggin telecaster that says My *** every second (which as a christian offends me, and ticks me off, because Kyle is supposed to be a christian too.) 2. Fox goes to the action, up front. 3. Fox makes the prerace shows VERY entertaining (fortune tellers and long beards for instance) 4. I've Grown attatched to DW and Larry Mac's catchphrases. 5. Fox ALWAYS shows the restarts after caution, unlike ESPN. 6. Fox makes the Race sound exciting, unlike TNT "coming to the checkered, it's Jamie Mcmurry!" that didn't sound any enthusiastic at all. 7. They Don't have Rusty broadcasting. like on saturday OMG! OMG!!! the TRACK HAS GRIP!!! IT HAS FRIGGGIN GRIP AND RUBBER ON IT!!!! AFTER ALL THAT RAIN IT HAS GRIP!!!!! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE IT HAS GRIP OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! 8. they make passes sound exciting! unlike ESPN- "here, here comes gordon on the outside!" that was L.A.M.E. 9. Speaking of Such, They actually SHOW the passes. pathetic.... 10. They don't go to the friggen draft Trax every second either "oh, that was a pass! let's see how the air worked on that Pass" 11. I don't care about DW's attachment to certain drivers, he and larry mac were dissapointed that they didn't get to broadcast races where Stewart and Gordon won at. 12. They Talk about mechanics on the car when the time is actually RIGHT. not every few seconds. yeah, considering we have a crew cheif, and an amazingly funny past racer and Commentator, Fox pwns TNT and ESPN to bite sized pieces. i wish Fox could get enough money so they CAN take the whole season.

| Re: Goodbye Fox *sniff* As a second year fan, FOX is the only network that seems to care about... actually care about... NASCAR. The other networks act like they are showing the races only because they have to. I didn't get it last year, but now I"ll easily take "Boogity Boogity" over "...and the green flag waves..." ANY Sunday.

Other than your #1, I just don't agree with a most of that. 3,6,8,9 and 11 in particular. Fortune tellers and long beards??? You can't be serious. Tell me you con't enjoy that... I don't need anyone to tell me what is exciting, I can figure that out for myself. And as far as showing every pass for the lead on Fox. I'm laughing myself silly right now. The only passes Fox wants to show are the ones that involve the 88 or the 18, and maybe an HMS car. The rest of the field might as well not run. Rmember, The Fox guys are the ones that wanted to CHARGE the teams to show the logos on the cars. For those who weren't watching then, or have just forgotten, remember the jerks digitally removed sponsor logos on the cars they showed by the drivers names in that 2001 Daytona 500. NASCAR had to twist thier arm to bring them back for Rockingham. Fox could never show another race, and I'd be happy. And Rusty won't be calling the races this year, DJ will. Rusty will be in those segments when the come back from commercial. Very brief. I think DJ is gonna be an excellent addition. And Kyle Petty will be doing the TNT show. He is taking those TNT races off. I look forward to seeing how both of those drivers do in the booth. Thanks to Fox, I say! For being done! |
