Lets hear what you guys have to say about the upcoming race in Charlotte. It's the NASCAR Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

I've posted some info that I found about Lowes Motor Speedway in a seperate thread. Pretty cool stuff, never realized they had so many events there.

Also, make your race predictions in the official race prediction thread. We have a weekly contest to see who can pick the winners.

i feal dumb LOL didnt mark martin win it last year?? idk i really hope sum fords can get up there maybe even that Dodge #9 kasey kahne. I heard that theyre gone use a smaller fuel cell normally they use a 22 gallon instead theyre gonna use a 13.5 gallon i think it has something to do with the tires.I guess they think the more pit stops the less likely the problem with tires

Actually, today's a slow day. Not many people posted, and here I am at work, bored.
Edit: And about the race, I hope an idiot with the initials KB doesn't wreck a bunch of people like happened at the Bud Shootout. Wonder who will be the one the fans vote in? I voted for Robby Gordon.

Ahhh yes a retiree ... that would be me. I'm really to young to be retired but I'm doing my best to maintain the image.

Being the upfront and forward thinking guy that I am, I also knew the question needed to be asked. So I took the bold step and fired away. There is only one Kyle I like and he is a cartoon character on South Park. The racing Kyle is also a character !!!

Marky Mark just spun McMurray. Everyone talks about what a clean racer he is. Well, maybe when a million is up for grabs he's not so clean. Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of Mark? I've always liked him but for some reason I don't anymore. Too much media? The "Salute to You" tour that ended up not being the salute to us?

I too am VERY tired of Martin and wish he would fade into the sunset. The media builds him up like he's a god or something. The guy never won a championship because he never had the [insert favorite adjective here] to push an issue and get up front. With DE gone, and Rudd and Wallace retired, everyone has turned the torch over to him. Like you said Smoke, tonight he dumped his teammate McMurray and that was ok, but when Kasey slipped up and got into him, he blamed Kasey for not getting out of the gas.
Those tires were just way too hard and all the drivers hate them. The 600 is going to be really interesting.

It is truly amazing what the races do to us. Unlike some I am a fan of Martin. Is he the best and cleanest driver there ever was or is??? Probably not but when I look at him versus ________________ I still see a more sportsmanlike driver. I certainly respect the points of view of all others as it is your opinion. We have fans of all drivers here and I am vocal about the poor traits of many of them. That is what this place is all about. I'l also agree that the good-bye tour is becoming a farce. Martin already stated last night that he will be back for this race next year. If you're gonna retire, then retire. Did Harry Gant ever come back ???

Anyway I can deal with the criticism of any and all drivers since I only watch them. None of them have added to my income yet, but there is always hope.

Thank you, thank you Smoke. I've been biting my tongue for two years, every since Mark did that spin out that keep Ryan from a win and let a Roush driver go to victory lane. I respect Mark for his driving abilites, but he's no angel. I know the media gang are his old friends, I'm so tired of the excuse's they make when things are his fault. Is there no penaties for hiting a car on purpose during pratice?

Gma4Kahne, Nevada, LSC, good to know I'm not the only one. I don't remember the incident w/Newman that you're talking about Gma, but it sounds like something he blatently did. That interview Mark did after the wreck p** me off. It was just racin and racin hard. Now I'm even more tired of him.
