Re: Kyle Bush...Ernie Irvin??

Doesn't matter to me how he talks on the radio, thats between him and his team. I like him and enjoy watching him. Maybe he does need to mature alittle more, but I think he has come along way already.

but , are not all drivers capable of driving more aggressively and more exciting ??????.......the ones that do ,or did [except #3] don't seem to be in every ones favor......this list could start in my mind with tommy ellis and end now with robby gordon......imagine a starting field full of these driver....let's see some of your pics for this race........p.s. ..spencer is on the pole..

I like Robby also. I'd much perfer a driver that's aggressive and tries to win, to one that points races. But by aggressive I don't mean go out there and intentionally wreck the others.

Have to disagree that radio talk is just between the team. Suggest you attend a race and check out the crowd which at Bristol on Sunday was estimated upwards to 165,000 fans, half or more who had scanners with headsets. Monitoring team radios has become main stream and every driver knows that 10's of thousands are listening. Like him but understand that he is not the person who the media is making him out to be. Maybe he'll mature and learn that he is in the entertainment business and will be judged by his behavior.

I understand that. But the radio is for him and his team, the scanners are a courtesy. What I mean is, on his radio he is communicating with his team, not his team and the fans.
Kinda like they said when the lady tried to sue cause her child heard Jr say **** on his radio. You don't have to listen.

I agree, if you don't like the language they use or how they talk then don't listen

Thumbs down Re: Kyle Bush...Ernie Irvin??

One more comment and then all can enjoy who ever they choose to "like". I'm going to guess that you haven't attended a race recently or you would understand that scanners are not a courtesy but have become a standard for race fans. My comment was not about someone being offended by the language [I am not and most fans are not] it is about someones character. When anything said into the car radio is instantly heard by the media and 10's of thousands of fans, you get a pretty good picture of the maturity and bottom line character of a driver. Using your logic, a driver standing in his pit or garage before a race and spewing slurs and bad language while many fans stood within ear shot is "just doing his team business" and the fans should go back to their seats or move on to another team area. And you're right for sure, but it doesn't make the driver any less of a jerk.

[IMHO] KB aka the Shrub will be as hated as his brother not because he is a bad driver [he's not] but because of his lack of maturity and character.

Re: Kyle Bush...Ernie Irvin??

I usually just turn my scanner to the track channel so I can listen to the same broadcast you hear on the radio in your car.... except no commercials at some tracks

Re: Kyle Bush...Ernie Irvin??

You are right, I have not attended any race. By courtsey I meant, they are not required to make their conversations available to the fans in order for them to race, are they?
As far as his language and comments. I bet many fans use that same language during a race and make about the same comments also. So why should the drivers not be able to?

The F word seems to be a favorite from the 18 driver. I'm not a prude but I didn't hear the same from any of the other drivers. The topper was during one of the final yellows on Sunday. It was a single file restart and he was well back in the line, behind Mikey W. After making a snide remark about "everyone knowing you don't want to line up behind Jamie McM under yellow", he followed with "and the Queer is even worse". Maybe DW might want to reconsider his love affair with the shrub.

I was left with the feeling that the Shrub is a little self absorbed little smart a** who has a whole lot of growing up if he wants to join the ranks of the other top drivers. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who heard the last remark. Guess the media doesn't want to tarnish their latest wonder boy.
I thought Joe Gibbs would have more of a positive impact on Kyle Busch. Up until Bristol he was all smiles on TV interviews because things were going very well for him. That had to be a frustrating day for him this past Sunday. Coach should have another come to Jesus meeting with him.

Yes they are open to the public. It's my understanding that the teams are prohibited from scrambling their transmissions. Anyway what a fan might say and what a "performer" [that is what the drivers are] says are two different things. Now understand as far as I'm concerned, he can say and do anything he wants. Like all of us he needs to be judged on that same behavior. Calling a fellow racer a "queer" seemed over the top, at least to me.

Gee, I hopr they never get the technology that always allows us to hear what is said in a baseball dugout or on the sidelines of a football game. Besides maybe Kyle thinks Mikey W. is a queer.. big deal he can voice his opinion! Would it have made you feel better if he called him an A. H. ?

Ok I didn't realize that if they didn't have their team communications available for the fans to hear that they couldn't race. That in itself seems stupid to me. I really don't see a difference in what they would say and what I would say. If I like a driver I don't change my mind just because of something he said. I can't really condemn them or call them jerks for saying the same thing that I say. I guess if I were to be judged based on what I say or how I talk, then I'm in the same catagory as Kyle. And here I was thinking I wasn't such a bad person.
