I do think that the economy and the unemployment rate may have a slim impact on the sport, but the last time I checked, it didn't cost a dime to watch a race on TV, except for the cable bill of course.

Hey, Kevin, why don't you put up some of your winnings to give to the fans by way of a reduction in ticket prices for one or two races this season? Why don't you cut the cost of your novelties by 50%? Heck, even Starbuck's (yuk!) has reduced the price of a cup of coffee.

I wonder if football will have the same issue ... doubtful.

Hmmm...??? Riddle me this, Batman... The media continues to tell us the economy stinks and we're either in, or going into a recession. However, according to the statistics, wages are up and unemployment has dropped below 5.5%. (See following link: )National Statistics Online
