We usually try and make it to this show as often as we can. It is a GREAT show and covers/includes many forms of racing. Show and actual race cars abound and there are seminars for everything from car set up, obtaining race team sponsorship, to race event organization and promotion.
Long time acquaintance of ours that we raced with and against for many years is the owner of Area Auto Racing News (
Area Auto Racing News). and the annual show organizer/promoter.
The weekly race paper is as near to a "must read" as you can get as it covers pretty much every series imaginable. Very good focus/articles/information on racing up and down the east coast and on all of the top National series. Weekly columns from some of the more recognizable names (Monty Dutton, etc.) provide excellent both sides of the coin looks - particularly with regards to NASCAR. We read it here every week.
HIGHLY recommend both the show and the publication to anyone who is a fan of motorsports. Spend a little time on the web site and examples of articles, etc. can be found. Good stuff for the race fan.
Now that it is held in Atlantic City it lends itself to a great opportunity for an overnight stay for the race show as well as the other entertainment associated with the casinos. AC airport is also a really nice break from the larger ones that service the area (Philly, NY, DC).
