Talking Sponsors in the winners circle?

I don't get it?

When Kurt Busch won everyone was popping the tops off of Miller Lites.

When Jimmie Johnson won the gatorade was flying all over the place!

But when Clint Bowyer won I didn't see anyone jugging down bottles of Jack!

What gives?

Re: Sponsors in the winners circle?

Attend a race and you will find in the "rules" associated with attendance that beer may be brought in with your cooler, liquor may not. This is not suggesting that you may already have not attended, just a "take notice".

World ain't ready ( and we are not in disagreement here) for "slammin'" in victory lane or the stands. Pretty common across all sports venues.

Speaking of Jack, any fans of same try Single Barrel? Not THAT'S some fine stuff.

I have had Jack Single Barrel, and Evan Williams Single Barrell. Both bery nice. As well as Turkey Rare breed. Just don't drink the rare breed when you have a cold.... you don't realize how strong it is until your stumbling.

Hey I just thought Clint should have supported his sponser and taken a good hit off a bottle of Jack in the winners circle or at least while he was being interviewed by the ESPN babe!

Good thought, but I'm sure there is some rule against the good stuff be drank in the winners circle.... or they just weren't expectin the win and didn't bring the bottle with the ribbon on it.

Can you imagine the fat cats up in the NASCAR Ivory Tower?
I can just see them choking on their cavier if Clint pulled out a bottle of Jack (filled with ice tea not whiskey) and started downing it in the winners circle!

Ice tea or not I'm sure NASACAR made them sign something saying that there would be zero possibility that any liquid in a Jack bottle would appear. It really makes sense and I suspect that JD itself agrees with it.

Thats why the ribbon on the bottle would say " 21 means 21"

Re: Sponsors in the winners circle?

Funny thread.

I know for a fact that "hard stuff" is smuggled into the stands (at Loudon and Dover anyway). It's not that difficult. However, my compact umbrella was confiscated!

Odd that beer can be tossed in Victory Lane, but Jack can't. Can't reconcile that. If there was a champaign sponsor, would that be ok? Champaign gets tossed all the time in Victory Lane.

Again, bunch of hooey!
