Then we get to watch Johnny Seuter's blonde bombshell girlfriend nagging at him for getting lost in the in-field while trying to drive to his bus.
On the flip side we have JPM's loving and doting wife taking care of the kids and cheering Juan on during the race.
IMHO this show just depicts the NASCAR fan in the worst possible light, they show a depressed Mark Martin, John Seuter - not one of the best of NASCAR racers, and again with the accolades for JPM.
NASCAR IMAX and the ESPN Nascar documentary blows NASCAR Primetime out of the water. |
Very, very true. After the first two episodes, I decided not to watch any more, but something ... like a train wreck ... caused me to tune in last night.
There are many, many families at the track. Though they portrayed a racing event as equal to Mardi Gras without the beads. Yes, some people are drunk and stupid, but most are well behaved. I don't know about other tracks, but Loudon promotes a "family" environment. You'll get your ♫♫♫♫♫ kicked off the grounds if you get out of line. Of course, they focused on the drunk and obnoxious. How entertaining would it be to focus on folks just hanging around the camground cooking up some good food, playing games, and just spending time with friends? Na ... not news-worthy enough I guess.
I still for the life of me don't get this ABC series at all!
