It was a great race, and the daytona 500 was a great race aswell. when it comes down to 10 to go at restrictor plate races and ppl are making moves to get to the front goin 3 wide, it definately is the most exciting and nerve racking racing

they've always been a crap shoot. predicting the top 5 requires skills and abilities not given to the homo sapien species.

however, they can be mighty exciting if you like to watch racing and one or more of "your drivers" is in the top 20 (seems they invert every 15 or so laps...)

even with all the "teammate" flap, it was a good race. and no BIG ONE!

Re: since when....

I think most will agree that the end of the race is exciting since they are, for the most part, still in a pack. The middle of the race does get a bit on the yawning side since not much happens unless there is a major wreck.

Re: since when....

Plate racing is the best racing. It gives the best finishes and keeps you wondering what is gonna happen at the end. The COT will do well at DEGA.

Of course! Once again NA$CAR will 'fix' a race so one of their "Most Popular" drivers wins.

I love, love, love restrictor-plate racing (except when they tried it at Loudon). Watching those guys drive 3 and 4 wide makes me nervous! But I just love it. Those guys are nuts!

There are so many lead changes. Plus, one minute you're in 3rd, next minute you're 23rd, then back to 3rd. How cool is that?

Even if someone does pull away toward the end, they'll only get run over by the rest of the field.

Daytona and Dega are the best!

I love the 500, but DEGA is my favorite.
