wrong driver gift

my mother in law (bless her heart) bought me a t-shirt, but unfortunely she doesn'e understand the nascar fan.

I am pretty much an RCR guy mainly Dale sr. and kevin harvick. and can deal with most chevy team (less hendrick). but don't ask me were she found it but she bought me a YATES POWER Ernie Ervin t-shirt. a really nice chase shirt but wrong make and driver, am I going to have wear this shirt out of obligation ????

Since you gave your mother-in-law the ole "bless her heart", yes you are obligated to wear it at least once in her presence. After that you can change your oil with it on and unfortunately spill oil all over it. DARN !!!

Sincerely,
Dr. Phil LSC

Will, I sit here and laugh, mainly because for me, it is the right make and right "team" shirt. I really didn't care alot for Ernie, he did grow on me, a tiny bit, but..................
Of all the Yates stuff that I have, I may have 2 pieces that actually have Ernie's name on them. It's basically strictly Yates, and Davey Allison with some Ricky Rudd and Kenny Irwin.
But I have to go along with what everybody else said, Yeah, you should wear it in her presence at least one time!! (Sorry)

Hilarious! And yes, you have to wear it at least once for her!

Reminds me of the Christmas when my uncle, a former racer and diehard Gordon fan, gave me a Gordon car and a Sr. car. Loved the Sr. car and proudly displayed it in my office. Displayed the Gordon car too ... on its roof behind the Sr. car!

I actually was a fan of Irvan. Well ... I was a fan of his Texaco car. Easy to spot. Even liked Allison, though I know many who didn't. Long time ago ... what did I know?

Re: wrong driver gift

seems if you make the effort to wear it, your wife could make the effort to hint to her mom which driver you like
