Holy cow, apparently Chuck Norris really DID roundhouse kick you right upside the head yesterday, causing some major brain damage for you to make that statement!

And I say this all with much love, Simon.

What did I miss? Who is whining? Don't lump us all in the same category please. First of all, whether men an women alike want to admit it, golly gee gomer men and women are actually different! Physically and mentally. There are going to be some areas where we are just not going to be able to compete head to head. Some women don't want to hear it. Now there are some areas where women can definately compete on even ground. Intellectually (I probably didn't spell that right, wouldn't it figure), of course. Darts - takes good hand/eye coordination, but not superior strengh. Bowling - yeah, you guys may have bigger balls but women can and do compete all the time with the boys, myself included. And I win - a lot. Golf is tough because of that first hit off the tee. Guys will get more distance, usually. The gals may have a shot if they can be more accurate than powerful. Soccer - let me put it this way. My two daughters and I played in a coed league until recently. They are scholarship winning players, superior by far to the average player, male or female. I currently suck, my glory days are over and playing against college kids half may age does not help me look any better. However, we'll go 3v3 with you any time and that ball will get stuffed so far down your face you will never find it. (Remember, much love here.

) Which brings me, finally, to auto racing. There is no reason why men an women cannot compete head to head. It's all about the machine. Given equal equipment, I cannot think of a valid reason why a female cannot be the next Gordon, Wheldon, pick a driver. There are so few women in motor sports that I have to think that there are simply fewer women with the desire and drive to be in such a tough and possibly life threatening sport. But there will come a day. It's already happening. Danica is holding her own. We don't know about Milka. But let's not forget Shirley "Cha Cha" Muldowney. She kicked some major male bootie for sure. And today we have Ashley Force, who has indeed proven she can compete with, and win against, the biggest of the big, even her won father.
So, our "ladies crap" (did you really even say that??!!) will never be done away with because there is a place for it. And for some of us ladies - we will be competing head to head with you in your male dominated areas and, eventually, some us are are going to take you to school. I've got two kids who are living it right now. My kids and I, including my son, are not "sit in the stands" types. I'm done "whining" for the moment. Hope I don't come across as a cocky biotch, because I'm really not.

(P.S. The Danica thing is getting a little old, I admit it.)
